Learning Experts
At our school, pupils can become Learning Experts in the subjects where they feel most confident. Every child has strengths, and being a Learning Expert allows them to share these skills with others.
What is a Learning Expert?
A Learning Expert is a pupil who has a particular strength in a subject such as maths, reading, writing, science, computing, art, or topic work. They use their knowledge and confidence to help others learn confidence to help others learn.

Support classmates who need help with ideas, instructions or tricky tasks

Show or model strategies the teacher has taught

Help organise resources and equipment

Encourage others to keep trying, take part and feel confident

Share useful tools like number lines, word mats, or vocabulary list

A Maths Expert shows different ways to solve a problem

A Reading Expert helps with sounding out or choosing books

A Writing Expert supports editing, punctuation or vocabulary

A Science Expert helps with equipment or recording results
