The Aspire Learning Federation is made up of two schools - Elm Park Primary School and R J Mitchell Primary School in the London Borough of Havering.
WELCOME
In Freeborn Nurture Class we develop our communication skills and our understanding and management of emotional regulation through personalised learning pathways.
A focus on developing secure and trusting relationships with the adults within the setting builds a foundation on which all learning and development may begin from.

Our Curriculum & Homework
This half term our topic is The Seasons and the Weather.
We will be understanding what different seasons look and feel like and the changes they bring.
We will be using this subject as a platform to include colours, numbers, reading, stories and Knowledge & Understanding about the world around us.
Communication, social skills and sharing as always are embedded in everything we do.

Speech and Language
Speech and language skills are the building blocks for communication. Every child in our nurture provision receives support for their speech and language development, bespoke to their individual needs. Children are supported on a 1:1 basis and in small groups and have access to a wide range of resources, including core boards, communication boards & symbols. We welcome all forms of communication and celebrate each and every one of them.
