The Aspire Learning Federation is made up of two schools - Elm Park Primary School and R J Mitchell Primary School in the London Borough of Havering.

 

 

WELCOME

The R J Mitchell Nursery is a Specialist Provision for children on the Social Communication Pathway or with an ASD Diagnosis. During sessions at Nursery children will partake in group and individual interventions. There are seven children in each session with four adults overseeing them.

Funding

At Nursery all spaces are funded by the 15 hour allowance for children aged 3-4 years. We offer 15 hours per week, either morning sessions or afternoon sessions. We do not offer extra hours, full days or a mix of morning and afternoon sessions. There are no additional fees that are added to the child’s funding while attending the setting. 

If you are entitled to the 30 hour allowance for your child, then the other 15 hours can be taken up elsewhere. This could be with a child minder or another Nursery setting. 

 

How to Apply

 Children should be referred to the Nursery Panel for consideration via Paediatrician, Speech and Language Team, Area Senco or CAD 0-5 Team. You can request an Area Senco make a visit to the setting your child is currently attending and speak to them about a place with us. Your child will be discussed by a Panel of Professionals and a decision will be made as to whether our setting is suitable for your child. 

Our Curriculum & Homework

Continuous home learning of basic skills such as independence, communication, Early Learning Maths, Early Learning Literacy and Early Play skills.
