Our Curriculum & Homework
Continuous home learning of basic skills such as reading, spelling, and number work is very important because it helps children build strong foundations for future learning.
We expect children to read at least three times a week at home to improve their fluency, comprehension and confidence. They should complete weekly spelling homework sheets to reinforce their learning in school. They should also practice basic number skills including times tables (links to TTRS and Numbots can be found below). We would like the children to bring their reading records and books into school daily.
Class News & Updates
As part of our history lessons, we will be holding a Greek Day, where the children will be invited to dress up as a Greek citizen. During this day, we will be learning about the food and culture of Ancient Greece. The children will also find out about the myths and legends from this time.
