WELCOME TO OUR YEAR 2 PAGE

ACHIEVE - LEARN - FLOURISH
The Aspire Learning Federation is made up of two schools - Elm Park Primary School and R J Mitchell Primary School in the London Borough of Havering.
WELCOME
Year 2 is a key year where children grow in confidence and develop greater independence as learners. Building on the foundations from Year 1, pupils continue to strengthen their skills in Reading, Writing and Maths, while also exploring Science, History, Geography, Art, Design and other exciting subjects. Our approach combines clear progression in learning with practical, creative experiences that encourage curiosity and enjoyment. Children are given opportunities to collaborate, problem-solve and share ideas, helping them to develop both academically and socially. We aim to ensure that every child is supported and challenged at the right level so they can make excellent progress and feel proud of their achievements. Year 2 is also an important step in preparing for Key Stage 2, and we look forward to working in partnership with families to make this a happy and successful year.
