Dear Parents/ Carers,
As you are aware, our Year 6 pupils have one half term left with us, which will be full of fun end of year events and transition activities!
Please see the current confirmed events and the dates:
Monday 23rd June: Junior Citizenship Day
Pupils will attend the above during the school day, which is a program that helps prepare them for the challenges they may face as they become young adults. More information will be shared soon.
Monday 14th July: Year 6 Disco (FoRJM Event) 6pm - 8pm
Our FoRJM are hosting this year’s Year 6 Disco, children can get their party clothes on and party the evening away celebrating their last week at R J Mitchells.
Tuesday 15th July: Year 6 Production at 6pm
Pupils will remain at school until the end of the production. They will be practising their performance and changing into their costumes. We will provide food for them before the production starts.
Wednesday 16th July: Year 6 Production at 2pm
Wednesday 16th July: Year 6 Graduation at 6pm (children to arrive from 5:30pm for prompt 6pm start)
We invite parents and carers to join us in celebrating their children’s success in graduating Year 6. Pupils will finish school at their normal time. They are able to attend this event in non-school uniform, with children encouraged to dress up for the occasion, if they wish.
Friday 18th July: Shirt signing
Children can spend their last day getting their school shirts signed by their peers and teachers.
Friday 18th July: Guard of Honour
To say farewell to our year 6s, we will continue the RJM tradition of the Guard of Honour, to send them off on their next educational journey. We are inviting parents to arrive on site from 1pm, with the guard of honour starting at 1:15pm, with the end of day being 1:30pm.
Leavers Hoodies:
Children can wear these throughout the rest of the half term.
