School Learning Council

The School Learning Council plays an active part in our school.

Two representatives from each class are democratically elected by their peers. They attend meetings once a half-term to discuss issues around the school that effect their learning.

The meetings are clerked by Mrs Connelly and the meetings are chaired by Year 6 children. Miss Bennett co-ordinates the meetings and goes along as a representative of the Senior Leadership Team.

So far the children have told us about chairs that were the wrong size, confirmed that the yellow handwriting pens are the best and asked for more reading books for KS2. All of these issues have now been addressed.

The School Learning Council is an active body that representatives the pupil voice within the school.
